High-level plenary meeting to commemorate the eightieth anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations.



This one-hour meeting marks the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations, with UN officials and Heads of State and Government reflecting on the achievements of the past eight decades and the path ahead for a more inclusive and responsive multilateral system.

As we observe the 80th anniversary of the signing of the UN Charter , this exhibit recalls the enduring relevance of this historic document, while inviting visitors to again embrace the ideals that united humanity during the creation of the United Nations. The exhibition is organized and endorsed by the Office of the President of the General Assembly. It is in connection with the 80th anniversary of the signing of the UN Charter (26 June).
