Economic and Social Council: 3rd plenary meeting, 2026 session.

United Nations Economic and Social Council

ECOSOC oversees a complex ecosystem of subsidiary bodies, composed of regional commissions, functional commissions and expert bodies, standing committees and ad hoc bodies. The Council is entrusted to guide and coordinate the work of its subsidiary and related bodies. It thus has an influence on a wide remit of the work of the UN system on development.

The 2026 Coordination Segment | Economic and Social Council. organized by Mr Paruyr Hovhannisyan (Armenia), Vice-President of the Economic and Social Council, will take place on 28 – 29 January 2026 at the UN Headquarters in New York.

The 64th session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD) will take place from 2 to 11 February 2026 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

As we observe the 80th anniversary of the signing of the UN Charter , this exhibit recalls the enduring relevance of this historic document, while inviting visitors to again embrace the ideals that united humanity during the creation of the United Nations.
